Athletic Fields Study Committee
The Athletic Fields Study Committee was formed by the Board of Selectmen in 2005 to assess and report on the inventory of athletic playing fields in Ipswich.

Article 20 Committee
Its purpose is to study, with advice from Town Counsel, regulating firearm use in Town and what, if any, action should be taken to insure the safe and responsible use of firearms in Ipswich.

Audit Committee
The Audit Committee reviews annual financial statements of the Town financial offices, coordinates with contracted independent auditors prior to the town audit, and reviews the independent auditor’s recommendations and report.

Bialek Park Planning Committee
The charge of the nine member committee is to evaluate Bialek Park for improvements and to develop a plan for implementation of those improvements. The committee shall obtain input from the public and stakeholders, and work with a design professional to present an integrated park plan to the Board of Selectmen. The plan should incorporate a range of interests, needs, ages and abilities.

Board of Assessors
The Board of Assessors is responsible for the valuation of all real estate and personal property in Ipswich. The Board hears all appeals filed on real estate and personal property and administers all Motor Vehicle and Boat Excise Tax bills.

Board of Health
The Ipswich Board of Health is responsible for the enforcement of State Sanitary Codes, State Environmental Codes, and Health Regulations. The Board of Health sets the health policy for the town which is carried out by the Public Health Department.

The board coordinates with the Director of Public Works and the Cemetery and Parks Superintendent to develop policies, rules, and regulations for the maintenance and use of the town's cemeteries, parks, and open spaces.

Conservation Commission
The Ipswich Wetlands Protection Bylaw was established in 1990 by the voters of the town to protect the wetlands, public and private water supplies, ground water and surface water, flood plains / flood control, storm water damage prevention, erosion or sedimentation control, water pollution prevention, fisheries land containing shellfish, wildlife habitat, thus protecting the quality of life in Ipswich. It was last updated in July 2001, so that is the version to rely upon.

Design Review Board
The Design Review Board meets on an as-needed basis to review community facility, commercial, industrial or business buildings which require Planning Board site plan review or special permit approval.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee’s mission is to make objective recommendations to Town Meeting on all warrant articles. The Committee is also responsible for reviewing every matter before town meeting and has broad authority to investigate town operations and to summon public officials to appear and produce documents.
