About the Committee
The charge of this committee is to evaluate Bialek Park for improvements and to develop a plan for implementation of those improvements. The committee shall obtain input from the public and stakeholders, and work with a design professional to present an integrated park plan to the Board of Selectmen. The plan should incorporate a range of interests, needs, ages and abilities.
The committee will consider the future of recreation and parks and design while factoring in multiple purpose spaces and adaptable designs. Consideration of safety, maintenance and the Americans with Disability Act must be incorporated into the plan. The committee will develop a timeline for achieving benchmarks (feasibility funding, preliminary design, project funding, final design and construction. The committee will conduct public presentation(s) and inform public of progress.
