[ARCHIVED] Public Input Sought for Ipswich Housing Production Plan

The Town of Ipswich is updating its Housing Production Plan (HPP). This document evaluates the housing needs of a community, ensuring a mix of housing types for different income levels, and helping to work towards a minimum of 10 percent of year-round housing stock being designated as affordable. By demonstrating progress and establishing affordable housing production goals, Ipswich can maintain its “safe harbor” status. This status allows the Town to deny 40B development if it does not meet local needs.

Seven housing focus groups have met via Zoom over the past two weeks to review the housing needs assessment and provide input.

Now we are inviting community members to participate and provide input, by reviewing the information and completing the attached feedback documents on their own time. Please visit the town website to participate: https://www.ipswichma.gov/875/Housing-Production-Plan

Please submit all materials by June 1st to the Planning and Development Department by mail to 25 Green Street or by email to Kristen Grubbs at kristeng@ipswichma.gov.
