The May 10, 2016 Annual Town Meeting formed a one-issue committee called the Climate Change Committee. Its purpose is to study global warming and to prepare and deliver findings to be included in the Finance Committee’s report to the next Annual Town Meeting.
The Climate Change Committee will have seven members: one of the Selectmen, one member of the Finance Committee, one member of the Planning Board, and four citizens to be appointed by the Town Moderator who are knowledgeable and experienced in the effects of climate change.
Anyone interested in being appointed to the Climate Change Committee should complete a Board & Committee Appointment Form, and send it with a resume and cover letter to the Town Moderator’s e-mail address: moderator@ipswich-ma.gov.
