[ARCHIVED] Installation of Wayfinding Signs

Beginning on Friday, October 26, and continuing through mid-November, Cape Ann Sign will be installing wayfinding signs at various locations in town to welcome visitors and direct them to places of interest. Initial installations will be on Central Street, County Road, County Street, High Street, Market Street, and South Main.

The new signs feature common colors and graphics and are easily distinguishable from traffic signs. About 20 signs will be installed this fall, and additional signs will be erected over the next two years. As signs are installed, many older ones will be removed; as a result, the total number of signs will be reduced.

For more information about the wayfinding sign program, contact the Planning Office at 979-356-6607, ext. 2, or glenng@ipswich-ma.gov.
